L’Argan

A single harvest, from the land to the face.

The argan tree grows exclusively in southwestern Morocco and can live for two centuries. Ours grows at Douar Aït Baha, in the Souss-Massa.

What Argan Offers

A satin touch.

A note of hazelnut, skin that drinks it in.

Beneath its shell, which only stone knows how to open, the kernel keeps its most secret gold: vitamin E, the antioxidant the land of the Souss entrusts to it, harvest after harvest.

From the Argan Grove to the Flacon

I.Gather

Between June and August, the fruit is gathered by hand under the Souss sun.

II.Crack

Dried in the open air, then cracked one by one, nut after nut: a gesture passed from mother to daughter.

III.Press

In Taroudant comes the cold pressing, slow and patient, then the filtration that keeps what matters.

IV.Analyze

Each batch is analyzed in the laboratory, traced back to the family argan grove, then filled into glass.

Argan Oil for the Face, a Family Gesture

In our family, argan has always belonged to the face. This gesture passed from my grandmother’s hands to mine; every Maison formula keeps its memory.

Notre Millésime

Each harvest of Liquid Gold is pressed, then numbered.

The land gives what it will: one harvest generous, another rarer. We receive it as it comes.

In Our Skincare

Argan is the soul of our Elixir line. Joined with prickly pear, it reaches its most concentrated form: a rare gold, the matter from which the Maison was born.

Beneath its thorns, the fruit hides a heart of light. From its seeds comes a silken oil that settles on the skin like a veil, rich in omega-6 and vitamin E.

Rich in tocopherols (vitamin E) and fatty acids, argan oil nourishes and softens the skin. At Maison AQAY Paris, argan has always been an oil for the face, a gesture passed to the founder by her grandmother. Each harvest is analyzed in the laboratory before entering the Elixir formulas.

The argan tree grows exclusively in southwestern Morocco, where it is endemic. Its oil, known as Liquid Gold, brings together two rare sterols, schottenol and spinasterol. According to K. Boucetta and colleagues, daily application for sixty days improves skin hydration and strengthens its barrier function. The same researchers conclude an anti-aging effect, measured by greater skin elasticity.
