Face Oil or Serum, Before or After Moisturizer?

A ritual is a grammar. Each gesture has its place, and the skin reads them in order.
Face oil or serum, before or after moisturizer? The question returns each morning, between the warm flacon and the white jar. At Maison AQAY Paris, the answer is written into the ritual itself.
Face oil or moisturizer first?
In the Maison AQAY Paris gesture, the oil comes first. The Rich Elixir Serum, an oil serum of argan and prickly pear, is warmed between the palms and pressed onto clean skin; the Elixir Moisturizing Cream is then laid over it, the veil that seals the morning. The oil nourishes; the cream completes.
Serum or moisturizer first?
The serum, then the moisturizer. A serum is the concentrated layer, laid close to the skin; the cream comes after and keeps it there. At Maison AQAY Paris, the serum is itself an oil: the Rich Elixir Serum, pressed onto the face and neck before the Cream.
Do you need moisturizer after face oil?
In the morning, yes: the cream comes over the oil, with plant-based hyaluronic acid, before the day begins. In the evening, the oil remains alone with the skin until dawn.
The order, morning and evening
At dawn, the rose mist misted into the palm, then the Serum, then the Cream. At nightfall, the two oils of the double cleanse, then the Serum, which stays on the skin all night.
Order is a form of care: at dawn the cream seals the light, at night the oil stays alone with the skin.
